The netLibrary eBook Reader is netLibrary's personal software that provides the ability to read eBooks offline on a PC, without being actively connected to netLibrary . In addition to allowing users to read eBooks offline, the netLibrary eBook Reader offers several features to enhance the reading experience, while providing publishers copyright protection safeguards, and libraries the ability to manage access to their collection.
Feature and Benefit summary:
- Search - users may search for search terms or phrases both within one eBook or throughout all eBooks installed on the netLibrary eBook ReaderTM. Search results are highlighted for easy identification within the text of the eBook. Users may browse through the search results within the eBook
- Annotation - gives users the ability to bookmark a certain section, highlight and format selected text with a variety of colors, and add notes within the margin of a paragraph within an eBook. Annotations can be saved and shared with other users
- Copy / Paste - users can copy copy selected passages (of up to 5,000 characters) of an eBook and paste into another document
- Print - users can print up to 5,000 characters, approximately one page at a time
- Citation and Bibliographic Reference - allows the user to generate citation and bibliographic references, which can be exported
- Zoom - users can zoom in and out to display the text in the preferred size
