The Embiid Writer for Windows is a small, quick-loading application that allows the user to create encrypted Universal Book Files (UBK) for use with the Embiid Reader. The UBK file employs a weak encryption that limits access to the document by restricting reading solely to the Embiid Reader. However, any Embiid Reader can read any UBK file.

The real advantages to converting a file to UBK are that the Embiid Reader™ will accept bookmarks in a UBK file and always open wherever you last left off reading.
