The Editorium was founded in 1996 by Jack M. Lyon, a book editor who got tired of working the hard way and started creating programs to automate editing tasks in Microsoft Word. He's been editing more than twenty years and started working on the computer in 1985. The managing editor of a publishing house in Salt Lake City, Utah, he is the coauthor of a business book, Managing the Obvious.

We're proud of the fact that the Editorium is a small company, and we intend to keep it that way. What does that mean for you? It means we can focus on creating and maintaining the programs you need--specialized programs that a large company wouldn't touch. We created our programs because we needed them for our own work.
