Adobe Releases eBook Reader for International Readers

Adobe has announced at Frankfurt Book Fair 2001 the release of it's Adobe Acrobat eBook Reader software for French, German and Spanish readers. The release makes it the only eBook reader to support both Windows and Mac platforms in the most popular Western languages and continues Adobe's drive towards making PDF documents and eBooks accessible on all popular computer devices.

The new versions include the same functionality English language users are familiar with. The only difference is that the Bookstore button in the International versions also takes the reader to eBooks in their language.

Adobe's announcement closely follows behind Microsoft's latest Microsoft Reader 2.0 launch, which includes versions for English, French, German, Italian and Spanish language readers, as well as its Text-to-Speech Package 1.0 software for English, French and German users.
