5,000 Free EBOOKS!
Project Gutenberg (http://www.gutenberg.net) proudly announces the upcoming release of FREE eBook #5000--The Notebooks of Leonardo DiVinci! (You, too, will be able to peruse the pages currently owned by Mr. Microsoft himself--for FREE!)
In a staggeringly short time Project Gutenberg is due to breach the 5,000 mark having done so in a period just over 30 YEARS. While this is an impressive feat, it is probable that Project Gutenberg will bring you its 10,000th free eBooks in under 30 MONTHS!
How is this possible? Volunteers all over the world have dedicated themselves to "Breaking Down The Bars Of Illiteracy"(TM) by providing FREE books to anyone who can download them. With the advent of the internet in public libraries, this amounts to everyone in the United States and billions more the world over. Volunteers hungry to be a part of this huge movement have dedicated numerous hours and large parts of their hearts and soul to capture the mastery of such writers as Shakespeare, Plato, and, now, da Vinci among literally hundreds of others.
Project Gutenberg is completely supported by volunteers and donations.
These donations should be made out to the:
"Project Gutenberg Literary Archive Foundation"
