GlobalMentor, Inc. and John Wiley & Sons, Inc. have announced the publication of Graph Theory and Geography: An Interactive View, an electronic book (eBook) that makes use of dynamic and graphical representations not normally seen in eBooks. The educational text employs interactive elements to explain in a graphical way and to encourage the reader to explore the eBook in a way not possible were the text in paper form.

The eBook is OeB-compliant and can be reader using GlobalMentor's Mentoract Reader software. The work comes from the Wiley Interscience Series in Discrete Mathematics and Optimization, and was written by professors Sandra Arlinghaus, William Arlinghaus, and Frank Harary. According to co-author Sandra Arlinghaus, unlike the traditional book "using an electronic medium allows a human reader to click on portions of a graph, then move sections of the graph, and immediately see the results -- right within the pages of the book."
